Who this article is for
Buyers and buyer’s agents who have requested a Building Health Score for a strata building in Cohabit.
What happens right after you request a Health Score
When you submit a Health Score request:
You’ll see a confirmation in Cohabit.
You’ll receive a confirmation email with the building details and what happens next.
From there, Cohabit (and in some cases a strata expert) will start working to:
Confirm your sale details, and
Request or review strata records from the strata manager (where needed).
Email updates you’ll receive
You’ll get regular email updates as the status of your request changes, for example:
Request received – we’ve got your request and are getting started.
We’re reviewing records – we’ve received information and are working on your Health Score.
Waiting on the strata manager – we’ve asked the strata manager for information and they’re taking longer than usual to respond.
Health Score ready – your Building Health Score has been generated and is available in Cohabit.
Unable to complete (rare) – if there’s a problem completing your request, we’ll let you know what’s missing and what you can do next.
Keep an eye on your inbox for the latest status.
How to check the status inside Cohabit
You can also track your Health Score request in the app:
Log in to Cohabit.
Click My Buildings.
Select the building you requested a Health Score for.
On the Building Profile / Overview (or Building Snapshot), look at the Health Score area.
You might see messages like:
“Health Score is being generated”
“Health Score in progress”
“Health Score requested – waiting on strata records”
Or, once it’s done, the actual score and comparison to similar buildings.
If it still says something like “being generated” or “in progress”, it means we’re still working in the background (often waiting on records from the strata manager).
Why your Health Score might take longer
Sometimes a Health Score takes longer because:
The strata manager is taking time to provide records.
The sale details we received are incomplete or unclear and need clarification.
The building has complex or large volumes of records to review.
You’ll be kept informed via email updates, especially if we’re waiting on the strata manager.
What you can do while you’re waiting
Check your email for the latest update on your request.
Open the Building Profile and Building Snapshot to see any existing information that’s already available for that building.
If needed, talk to your conveyancer/solicitor or agent about the timing, especially if you’re close to a deadline (e.g. cooling off, finance dates).
Once your Health Score is ready, you’ll be able to see it on:
The Overview / Building Profile, and
The Building Snapshot for that building.
