How to track your renewal dates through Cohabit

Use Cohabit to track all key insurance and compliance expiry dates for your buildings.

Step 1 — Open your building

  1. Go to My Buildings.

  2. Select the building you want to review.

  3. Click Compliance & Renewals.

This tab contains all insurance, certificate and compliance renewal dates.


Step 2 — Review each renewal item

You will see your major renewal items grouped together:

Insurance Policy

  • Renewal/expiry date

  • Premium

  • Sum insured

  • Risk rating

Fire Safety Certificate (AFSS)

  • Expiry date

  • Issuer

  • Compliance status

Lift Certificate of Compliance

  • Expiry date

  • Provider

Pool Certificate of Compliance

  • Expiry date

  • Provider

Building Valuation

  • Last valuation date

  • Valuation amount

Capital Works Fund Forecast (CWF)

  • Last updated date

  • Valuer


Step 3 — Understand the renewal status colours

Cohabit highlights urgency:

  • Green – Current

  • Yellow – Expires Soon

  • Red – Expired

  • Grey – Missing Data

Anything expired or missing will affect the building’s Health Score.


Step 4 — Upload updated documents (if needed)

If something is expired or missing:

  1. Go to the Files tab.

  2. Click Upload Document.

  3. Upload the updated certificate (PDF or image).

  4. Assign it to Compliance or Insurance.

Cohabit will process the document and update renewal dates automatically.


Step 5 — Check that the building updates

Once processed:

  • The renewal date will refresh.

  • The status indicator will update.

  • The building’s Health Score may increase.
