Updated this week

Who this article is for

  • Lot owners

  • Committee members

  • Anyone wanting to track upcoming building activities or approvals through Cohabit

What is the Owners Feed?

The Feed is your activity timeline in Cohabit.
It shows everything coming up or awaiting action across all the buildings you own in.

You can use it to track:

  • Upcoming building activities

  • Pending strata approvals

  • Pending comments

  • Past activities

  • Activity history for each building

Think of it as your personal activity dashboard, helping you stay informed and organised.

Where to find your Feed

  1. Log in to Cohabit.

  2. Click Feed in the main left-hand menu.

You’ll now see your activity list divided into tabs.

Understanding the Feed tabs

The Feed has four main tabs:

1. Upcoming Activities

This is the default tab. It shows:

  • Scheduled building activities

  • Key upcoming events noted in strata records

  • Activity type (e.g., Key Activity, General Activity, By-Law Activity)

  • Date and time

  • The building address

  • Any activity details available

Use this tab to stay ahead of:

  • Fire safety inspections

  • Scheduled maintenance

  • Cleaning or pest control

  • Meetings

  • Major works

  • Electrical, plumbing, or building services appointments

(Screenshot: Upcoming Activities with several activity cards)

2. Pending Strata Approval

Shows activities or requests that require strata manager or committee approval, such as:

  • Renovation requests

  • By-law related approvals

  • Requests lodged through Cohabit that are awaiting a decision

Ideal for owners wanting to track the status of requests that can't proceed until an approval is made.

3. Pending Comments

Shows any building activity where:

  • The strata manager, committee, or other parties have made comments

  • Comments need your attention or acknowledgment

  • A discussion is ongoing in the context of a specific building activity

Useful for staying across communication threads tied to a particular event.

4. Past Activities

This tab shows all completed or historic activities.

Acts as a record of what has recently happened in your building, including:

  • Completed works

  • Past meetings

  • Completed inspections

  • Resolved activity requests

Great for understanding timelines and context.

Filtering your Feed

At the top of the Feed, you can filter by:

  • Building (if you own in more than one)

  • Activity type (e.g., General Activity, Key Activity, By-Law Activity)

Click Filter to apply your choices, or Clear to reset.

(Screenshot: filter dropdowns above the feed list)

This makes it easy to find activities relevant to a specific building or topic.

Sorting your Feed

In the top-right of the Feed, you can sort activities by:

  • Creation time (default)

  • Or by other sort options depending on your view

Sorting lets you view activity in chronological order, making it easier to track what’s upcoming or recently added.

Opening an activity

To open an activity:

  1. Click any activity card.

  2. You’ll see full details, which may include:

    • Description

    • Time and date

    • Relevant building

    • Additional notes

    • Any associated comments

Depending on the activity type, you may also see a timeline, request details, or interaction options.

Why the Feed is useful for owners

The Feed helps you:

  • Stay across everything happening in your building

  • Track approvals and comments

  • Prepare for upcoming work or inspections

  • Check the history of building activity

  • See updates across multiple buildings in one place

  • Stay informed without relying on emails or unstructured updates from your strata manager

FAQs

Q: Why don’t I see activities for one of my buildings?

Q: Can buyers see the Feed?
No. The Feed is part of the Owner experience and only appears once you have a connected lot.

Q: How do activities get added to the Feed?
Activities are generated from:

  • Strata records

  • Building Intelligence quarterly updates

  • By-law or renovation requests

  • Data provided by your strata manager

  • Historical activities from records inspections
