Who this article is for
Owners who have more than one lot or own in multiple buildings
Committee members who want a quick overview of all the buildings they’re connected to in Cohabit
What “tracking your buildings” means in Cohabit
As an owner, My Buildings is your main hub.
From My Buildings, you can:
See every building you’re connected to as an owner
Quickly compare buildings at a glance
Open any building’s Building Profile
View your current Expert Reports and older/past reports across buildings
It’s designed to answer, in one screen:
“Which buildings do I own in, and what’s the status of each one?”
What you’ll see in My Buildings
Log in to Cohabit.
Click My Buildings in the main menu.
You’ll see a list of all buildings you’re connected to (for example, where you’ve:
Connected your lot via Your apartments → Add new lot, or
Previously requested reports/Health Scores as an owner).
Each building card/row will typically show:
Building address
Strata plan (SP) number
Number of apartments in the building (total lots/units)
Which lot/apartment you own in that building (if you own multiple, this may show more than one)
The building’s Health Score (if one exists)
(Screenshot: My Buildings list showing building cards with address, SP, number of apartments, owned lot, and Health Score)
This gives you a handy snapshot of your whole portfolio, not just one building at a time.
Opening a building from My Buildings
To dive deeper into a specific building:
From My Buildings, click the building you’re interested in.
You’ll go straight to that building’s Building Profile (Overview), where you can:
View the Building Snapshot
Check Files (records)
See/build on Health Scores
Manage your lot via Your apartments

Expert Reports in My Buildings (current vs past)
In the My Buildings area, you’ll also see a way to view your Expert Reports across buildings, typically via an Expert Reports section/tab.
This is split into:
1. Current Expert Reports
These are your recent reports, generally those created within the last 3 months.
In the Current Expert Reports view, you’ll usually see:
Which building the report relates to
Whether it’s tied to a specific lot/apartment
When the report was completed
A link to open the report
(Screenshot: Current Expert Reports list with building, lot, date, “View report” button)
These are the reports most owners rely on for now-ish decisions (e.g. current building condition and risks).
2. Past Expert Reports (older than 3 months)
In the Past tab/section, you’ll see older Expert Reports, typically those more than 3 months old.
These reports are still useful for history and context, especially to see how a building has changed.
However, they may not reflect the most recent:
Minutes
Financials
Compliance updates
Works or issues
(Screenshot: Past Expert Reports list showing older reports, dates clearly visible)
So you can think of it as:
Current = latest Expert Reports
Past = historical Expert Reports (older than 3 months)
How Building Intelligence fits into this
If your building is on Cohabit Building Intelligence:
Your building’s Health Score and data are designed to be updated quarterly, using new strata records and insights.
Building Intelligence views are treated as current, because they are refreshed each quarter (rather than tied to a one-off report date).
So even if an Expert Report is older and appears under Past, your Building Intelligence information for that building can still be:
Up to date
Reflective of what’s changed since that report
Useful for ongoing monitoring and committee decisions
Expert Reports give you deep point-in-time commentary.
Building Intelligence gives you ongoing, quarterly updates.
FAQs
Q: I own in several buildings – how do I quickly see which is in better shape?
Use My Buildings to compare:
The Health Score on each building card
The number of apartments (which can influence scale of works and levies)
Which lot/apartment you own in each
Then open each building’s Building Snapshot for more detail.
Q: What happens to my Expert Reports after 3 months?
They don’t disappear. They simply move into the Past section so you can tell at a glance they’re older than 3 months and may not fully reflect the most recent records and events.
Q: If I have Building Intelligence, do I still need new Expert Reports?
Sometimes yes. Building Intelligence keeps your building’s data and Health Score updated quarterly, but you might still order an Expert Report when you want a fresh deep-dive (for example, ahead of major works, funding decisions or if issues are emerging).
Q: Can I use My Buildings to track buildings I don’t own in?
You may also see or track buildings you’re watching or have previously engaged with (for example, as a buyer), but this article mainly focuses on buildings where you’re connected as an owner.
