Paying and Tracking Your Levies in Cohabit

Guide to paying strata levies through Cohabit, including selecting an apartment, choosing a levy, selecting a payment method, and accessing receipts.

Who this article is for

  • Lot owners paying levies through Cohabit

  • Owners managing payments for one or multiple apartments


Before you start

To pay a levy in Cohabit, you’ll need:

  • An Owner account

  • At least one apartment connected

  • At least one levy added for that apartment (regular or special)

If you can’t see any levies yet, you’ll need to add one first.
Adding a Levy Notice to Cohabit


Step-by-step: Paying a levy

Step 1 — Open Payments

  1. Log in to Cohabit (mobile or desktop).

  2. Click Payments from the main menu.

You’ll see your connected apartments first.


Step 2 — Select the apartment you’re paying for

  1. Click the relevant apartment card.

This opens the levies linked to that apartment.


Step 3 — Check your Upcoming levies

  1. Make sure you’re on Upcoming Payments.

  2. Find the levy you want to pay.

Each levy shows the key details at a glance (amount, due date, and levy period). This is where you’ll see both regular levies and special levies.


Step 4 — Open the levy details

  1. Click View levy (or tap the levy row).

This opens a detailed levy view so you can double-check:

  • Levy period

  • Due date

  • Admin vs capital works amounts

  • Total payable

You will also have the ability to edit any details if incorrect and delete payment if required.


Step 5 — Click Pay Now

  1. Click Pay now to begin payment.


Step 6 — Select a payment method

  1. Choose an existing payment method, or

  2. Click Add new payment method if you haven’t saved one yet.

If you add a new method here, it will also be saved to My Wallet.


Step 7 — Confirm and submit payment

  1. Review the payment summary.

  2. Confirm the levy amount and the apartment.

  3. Click Pay now to complete payment.


Step 8 — Payment success

Once the payment is complete:

  • You’ll see a success/thank you screen

  • A receipt is generated

  • The levy moves from Upcoming Payments to Past Payments


Step-by-step: Finding your paid levy and receipt

Step 1 — Go to Past Payments

  1. Return to the apartment’s Payments view.

  2. Click Past Payments.


Step 2 — Open the paid levy

  1. Find the levy you just paid.

  2. Click View receipt to open the receipt and payment record.

Receipts stay available here at any time.


If something looks wrong before you pay

If the amount, due date, or levy period doesn’t match your levy notice:

  • Don’t pay it yet

  • Double-check the levy details

  • Update the levy information or contact Cohabit Support for help


If something goes wrong during payment

If payment fails or doesn’t appear immediately:

  • Try again after checking your payment method

  • Allow time for processing (especially for PayID)

  • Contact Cohabit Support if it still doesn’t update
