People who have been invited to join their organisation’s Cohabit account by an Admin (e.g. strata managers, assistants, operational staff).

Step 1: Open your invitation email
Open your inbox for the email your admin invited.
Look for an email from Cohabit titled something like:
“You’ve been invited to join Cohabit”Open the email and click Accept Invite or Join Team.

This will open Cohabit in your browser.
Step 2: Verify your email
If prompted, verify your email address by following the instructions on screen.
(Some invites pre-verify the email, so you may skip automatically to the next step.)
Step 3: Enter your mobile number
You’ll be asked to enter your mobile number.
Click Send Code.
Make sure you provide a number that can receive SMS.
Step 4: Verify your phone (4-digit SMS code)
You’ll receive a 4-digit code via text message.
Enter the code into Cohabit.
Click Verify.
If the code doesn’t arrive, you can request a new one.
Step 5: Create your password
Choose a secure password that meets the requirements on screen.
Confirm it if required.
Click Continue.
Step 6: Agree to the policies
Review the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Tick the box to agree.
Click Continue.
Step 7: Add your name
Enter your first name and last name.
Click Continue.
This is the name your organisation will see inside Cohabit.
What you won’t see (because your admin already set it)
When joining as an invited team member:
You will not choose your role
You will not choose or create a company
You will not start a Building Intelligence trial
Your admin has already configured:
Your company
Your role (Admin/Strata Manager/Support Staff)
Your building access
You will be placed directly into your organisation’s workspace.
Step 8: You’re in!
Once setup is complete, you’ll land inside your organisation’s Cohabit dashboard.
From here, depending on your role, you can:
View the buildings you have access to
Communicate with owners and committee members
Manage building details
Work collaboratively with your team
If something looks incorrect, your admin can update your access at any time.
Troubleshooting
I didn’t receive the invite email
Check Spam/Junk
Search for “Cohabit”
Ask your admin to resend the invite
I didn’t receive the SMS code
Check your number is entered correctly
Confirm you have mobile reception
Click Resend code
My role is wrong
Only your admin can change your role.
Ask them to update it in Team → Edit Member.
I logged in but can’t see any buildings
This is usually an access assignment issue.
Ask your admin to update your building permissions.
