Who this article is for

  • Buyers researching strata or community-titled buildings

  • Owners wanting to understand building-level information

  • Buyer’s agents and professionals supporting due diligence

Searching for buildings

At the top of the Research section, you’ll see a search bar.

You can search by:

  • Building address, or

  • Strata plan (SP) number

Only strata buildings appear in search results. Standalone houses won’t be shown.

When you select a building from the results, you’ll be taken to that building’s building profile.

The building profile

The building profile is the main place where you review information about a building.

Across the top of the profile, you may see tabs such as:

  • Overview

  • Building Snapshot

  • Expert Insights (sometimes shown as “Expert Report” in the app)

  • My Apartments (owners only)

Each tab shows a different view of the same building.

Overview

The Overview tab gives you a high-level summary of the building.

This is where you’ll typically see:

  • The Building Health Score

  • A summary of building performance

  • Key building details and features

  • Recent building activity

Building Snapshot

The Building Snapshot shows key facts and characteristics about the building, such as:

  • Age and size

  • Number of units and floors

  • Shared facilities and features

This helps you quickly understand what kind of building you’re looking at.

Expert Insights

The Expert Insights section provides deeper analysis to help you understand risks, patterns, and areas that may need closer attention.

Expert Insights are optional and can be accessed when you need more context beyond the Health Score.

(In some parts of the app, this section may still appear as “Expert Report”.)

Tracking buildings you’re researching

The Research section also keeps track of buildings you’ve already viewed.

This makes it easy to:

  • Return to buildings later

  • Compare multiple buildings

  • See whether Health Scores or Expert Insights are in progress or complete

Research vs Apartments

Research and Apartments serve different purposes in Cohabit:

  • Research is where you explore and understand buildings

  • Apartments is where owners manage apartments they’re connected to

If you’re an owner, you may see a My Apartments tab within a building profile. This relates to ownership and apartment management, not building research.
