Changing Your Notification Settings

Manage your mobile push notifications, email updates and desktop alerts.

Notification options on mobile

Mobile users can receive:

  • Lot connection request approvals

  • Building data updates

  • New documents or changes

  • Expert Report activation

  • Messages from Experts

You can turn these on or off in:
Profile → Notification Settings


Notification options on desktop

Desktop users may receive:

  • Email notifications

  • Bell icon alerts (top-right of screen)

Bell icon alerts include:

  • Recent building updates

  • Connection request status

  • Document uploads

  • Expert Report activity


What notifications you can control

Cohabit sends notifications to keep you informed about things like:

  • Health Scores and Expert Insights becoming available

  • Messages from experts (where applicable)

  • Levy reminders and payment confirmations (owners)

  • Important updates related to buildings you’re connected to

You can choose how you receive these notifications.


How to update your notification settings

Step 1 — Open your account settings

  • Log in to Cohabit

  • Click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner

Step 2 — Go to notification preferences

  • Open Account settings

  • Select Notifications

Step 3 — Choose how you want to be notified
You can usually toggle:

  • Email notifications

  • In-app notifications

Save your changes once you’re happy.


Things to keep in mind

  • Some critical notifications (e.g. security-related messages) can’t be fully disabled

  • Turning off notifications won’t affect your access to buildings or insights


FAQs

Q: Will I still see updates inside Cohabit if I turn off emails?
Yes. You’ll still see updates when logged in.

Q: Can I change notifications separately for each building?
Not yet. Notification settings apply at the account level.
