Before you start
To set up your Buyer profile, you’ll need:
A valid email address
A valid mobile phone number (used for verification)
Access to your email and phone to receive verification codes/links
You can sign up using:
On desktop (web browser), or
A mobile browser on your phone (iOS or Android)
The Cohabit iOS app from the Apple App Store

Step-by-step: signing up as a buyer
Step 1 – Enter your email and verify it
Open Cohabit (web or iOS app).
On the welcome/sign-up screen, enter your email address.
We’ll send a 4-digit code to that email.
Enter the code to verify your email.
If you don’t receive the code, tap “Click to send a new code” on the screen and we’ll resend it.
Your email becomes your login ID for Cohabit.
Step 2 – Enter your phone number and verify it
Enter your mobile phone number.
We’ll send a 4-digit SMS code to that number.
Enter the code to verify your phone.
If you don’t receive the SMS, tap “Click to send a new code” to request another one.
We use your phone number to help keep your account secure.
Step 3 – Create a password and accept terms
Create a password for your Cohabit account.
Confirm the password by typing it again.
Click Continue
Step 4 – Finalise your profile
Finally, you’ll be asked to create your profile. This helps Cohabit personalise your experience and show you the most relevant features.

Personalise what you see in Cohabit
Give experts and strata managers the right context when interacting with you
Once your profile is complete, you’ll be taken to the Cohabit home page.
From there, Cohabit will prompt you to search for a property so you can start checking the health of buildings you’re interested in.
FAQs
Q: Do I have to enter both email and phone codes?
Yes. We use email and phone verification to keep your account secure and help prevent incorrect or unauthorised sign-ups.
Q: Can I change my “what best describes you” choice later?
If you chose the wrong option (e.g. Buyer instead of Buyer’s agent), you can change it in your account settings later or contact support via the in-app chat and we can help update it.
Q: Can I use Cohabit on Android?
Yes. The Cohabit app is currently unsupported on Android, but you can use Cohabit in a mobile browser (like Chrome or Firefox) on your Android phone.
